Ears crumpling back against the sides of his head, Saidin nodded and stepped away from Bruno and Sweetsnow, his expression rueful. "Fine, go if you think you need to. We could really use you, though." He told the other male. He couldn't imagine anyone- besides Knook, he supposed- voluntarily following Sweeper, but there had been Amira, she'd looked... indecisive, willing to be swayed. That meant there were probably others, then. The chances of the albino encountering them, however... either way, Sweeper was a threat. Snow was, unfortunately, speaking from experience. Gratefully switching his attention, for the moment, to the distraction called Kwabangul– what a name!– he introduced with a quick swish of his tail, "As you've probably gathered, I'm Saidin." Though the other was new, the question was worth a shot. "We're 'kinda new' here too. Don't suppose you've seen any caves like Sweetsnow described that we could use?"

"Sheesh guys," he raised an eyebrow at the snarling remarks they made to him, "I meant no harm by it, I just can't trust you, any of you. I don't even know you." He began to explain himself while acting quite reserved, "I just met you. All of you. Why would I den with you, if you all could watch me sleep soundly at night- then have my neck like a ringer." He shook his head in disbelief. How could they be angry at him for watching his own behind?
He was somewhat shocked at the behavior of the pack. Responding to Snow's question about dens he remarked, "I personally don't mind who heads east with me, it's the farthest I'm probably going to get before nightfall due to lack of food, energy, yada yada.... I guess call it a pit-stop before we find a much more suited territory." He was alarmed at the fact that everyone was quick to turn on him for making such a silly remark, except Snow. Bruno admired her ability to stay level headed. He used be the helpful one, but since his exile things have changed.

She reluctently held back her snarl, turning her body away from the brute. It annoyed her how he had insulted them, then acted as if nothing was said and he was completely innocent in the matter. Instead of brooding on the incident, she turned her attention to Snow, as sulky as she felt. It seemed that the more this femme said, the more she started to respect the wolf- she had so much knowledge and experience... She could easily make a good leader in some way or another. One ear rose and the other fell, uncertain of how to reply to her. She knew of the dens that herself and Saidin had found, but they both had wanted to keep it a secret. Breathing in deeply, she quickly came to her conclusion; their safety was a bit more important than their own personal fancies- if need be she will remind Saidin of this, too. "I know of one den. It's old.. Very old. But as far as I am aware, it is decently hidden." Her gaze shifted from Snow to Saidin, wondering if she should mention his name. "There would be a few things that need to be fixed.. Like rabbit holes inside the den." Her muzzle turned away, and she suddenly felt silly for introducing the idea; almost shy. "You could always check it, see if it's appropriate, I guess. Maybe.. Look for more?" Her voice had started to trail, so she let herself come to silence, tail twitching.

One side of her maw lifted up, a tad, in a small smile. I'm not taking sides, but I agree with Bruno. Well. Kinda. I agree with what he says we should do. Staying in this spot would be silly. Well. Maybe. Her audits flicked towards Kwabangul. Pleasure to meet you. I'm Sweetsnow. Her head bobbed gently, before she looked to Kota, nodding. We should check out this den.

"Hello, you all... I guess I now know all your names, eh? But, in any case... I see where Bruno is coming from. In fact, I had the same idea, of being by myself... Or, at least, not being able to trust any of y'all." His head turned to look at each of the wolves in turn. "I mean, for all I know, you could be in league with this Sweeper character. And, while I would really like to trust you, I won't be sleeping near any of you any time soon... until I really begin to trust you..."
And then, addressing Saidin, he said, "unfortuantely no, I haven't seen any caves like that."

Sweetsnow cocked her head gently, ears twitching as the newest wolf spoke. True. I trust too easily. That's just who I am. One of my many faults. She smirked, then sniffed at her left shoulder, licking it tenderly. Still sore. She winced as she righted herself, tail swaying gently behind her. Like a bird, she now sat, coat ruffled and seeminly fluffed by the wind. All the drama. It wasn't for her. As for Saidin and Kota, they'd want a den together, as much as they didn't want to admit it. They had something going on. Sweetsnow turned to glance at Bruno and Kwa. Unless they would trust her, she could see that she'd den alone. It didn't matter to her- Sweeper didn't have much against her. If the blind wolf had been Knook, she didn't know what she'd do. He wasn't her blood pup, but she had been quite fond of him. But she was young when she adopted him. She smiled gently, her features softening as she stared into the distance. She sighed, muttering something, before realizing her daze, and shaking her head, knocking herself out of it.

"Mmm," Bruno mumbled at the commotion that was going on. He felt like he had caught the guilt ball from the pack, for making a sarcastic comment about Kota and Saidin. After all, it was bluntly obvious they where connected somehow. "I can't handle too many wolves anyways, so I'm going to head east." He shook his head at the fact that everyone wanted to be in such close contact with each other. He was much more content with being with three or less wolves. The thought of reminding the group again that he wasn't going to follow, to him, was silly.
He tucked his head and excused himself from the party- this time, to not return for a while.

Saidin seemed to slump slightly as Bruno padded away, and he wondered if the newly-met Kwabangul would follow. It seemed likely, since the red wolf had approached Bruno first instead of them... Saidin could reluctantly understand what Bruno was trying to say, though he didn't have to like it. He supposed already having a friend in Kota and an ally in Sweetsnow meant he didn't have to worry as much as the other males about treachery or betrayal. He would have thought, though, that knowing a wolf like Sweeper was out there somewhere would be more than enough incentive to make them all want to stick together. Safety in numbers and all that. "Well, don't hesitate to howl if you need help or anything, then..." He called after the retreating brute. Attention focusing on the continuing conversation, he offered, "I don't know if that particular den would work, though... it's not that big. But I guess there always could be other dens around it somewhere." Kota had been right about that. He'd been concentrating on hunting down someplace new, exploring more of the valley, but... what better place to guard than one you were already familiar with? Besides, where there was one den, there had to be more. Right? Either way, they'd soon find out. He hadn't exactly had a chance to scout around that area much, when they'd found the bramble-hidden den.

Kwabangul watched the conversation and the thoughts whirl about everyone. He felt Bruno was right in not trusting any of them... But he also felt that safety in numbers was important... Bruno was leaving, his figure growing smaller with every step... If Kwa wanted to follow him, he would have to do it soon, or else he would lose Bruno...
He took a tentative step in the general direction of Bruno. "Well... some one has to make sure he's safe... I was thinking, about what was said earlier, about safety... Maybe... If he doesn't want me, I'll be back..." Without waiting for areply, he cantered off after Bruno.

She chuckled, crown lowering as she looked up at Saidin and Kota from the low angle, before raising her head once more, shuffling her paws slightly, and shifting her weight. You two could use the den you've found. I can easily find myself a smaller den. I sleep better alone. Plus. I do not know, nor care about, your relationship status. If you two are mates, then I don't want to interfere. But I also don't want to canter off straight towards Sweeper, with Bruno and Kwabangul. She snorted at the thought, before flicking her audits and speaking further. I'll be fine on my own. He's not after me. As far as I know. But he's insane. So who cares?

"We just met yesterday!" Kota cried out, fustrated that everyone now seemed to be concentrating on their friendship rather than what was most important; finding a place to sleep. As Snow spoke, Kota's auds flung back warily. She was too tired to concentrate on these matters any further, but yet they kept dragging despite how she felt. The idea of Snow being completely away from everyone seemed to distress Kota the most, though, as she stepped forward quickly with a shake of her maw. "No- you were saying to stick together. You can't go back on your word now." Her head tilted, pleading with her to at least stick close by. "Even if it is a seperate den close by!"

Saidin nodded rapidly, corraborating Kota's statement. "Besides, if we really needed to I'm sure the three of us could fit into the den- might not be too comfortable, but I think we could squeeze in if we absolutely had to. It just definitely isn't large enough for everyone... but Bruno and Kwabangul have left, so..." He nodded again. "We can stay together. Kota, I think, would be safe enough in the den while we look for others, if you want," he offered. It hadn't escaped his ricocheting attention that his young companion was becoming drained, though her reminder of how recently they'd met made him feel a little guilty. Kota had essentially been starving when he'd stumbled onto her, so adding on today's excitement couldn't be helping her recuperation- he mustn't forget that. He might not be sure if she was trying to hide her growing fatigue to impress the older wolves or simply because she couldn't afford to give in at the moment, but the fact was she needed rest. "So, that works? You'll stay, Snow?" Saidin turned expectant, hopeful eyes on the fae while his raised tail slowly waved through the air. It wasn't a contrived posture, though it did tend to bring about the results he desired.

She sighed, shaking her pelt. Just met yesterday? You seem close. But if you are sure I'm not intruding on anything, I'll agree to stay with both of you. She flicked her auds towards Saidin, then Kota, bobbing her head lightly.
OoC;; stomach ache, no muse.

Her head rose, auds swiveling forward with Snow's quick reply. Her eyes softened and head lowered, and for a brief moment her muscles shuddered from exhileration. But the moment was gone quicker than it had come, muzzle bouncing back up, looking more like a gesture of thinking than one of discomfort. "Let's go, then. It can't be far- I managed to get from there to here quickly enough." The reason she remained so compelled to keep Snow in their small group was selfish; although, she did fear for her safety if she were left to the brutallity of Sweeper and that other wolf.. She failed to recall what Snow had named him.

Smile graced her features, as she nodded, auds flicking. I'd like to get started now. The farther away from Sweeper, the better. Now she showed how scared she was of the brute. She was indeed scared, but not for her own life. She'd lived hers out; she was already a survivor of Sweeper's attack. She sneezed lightly, as a feather fell from a passing dove, and struck her on the nose. She rubbed her nose into her shoulder, relieving herself of the tickling sensation.
