Her multicolored fur was glowing a deep golden color, the sunset's rays mingling amongst the strands. She was making her way through the tall grass to get to small pond east of the den, her nose pointed upwards so that she could smell her surroundings. She knew it was dangerous to go out alone, but Sweeper respected her... But he'd gotten her before. Her limp could prove that. She stopped a moment to nibble at an itch at the base of her tail, before continuing on. When she finally reached the pond, she jumped into it, causing quite a ruckus. A few ducks scrambled to take off. She bounded towards the nearest one, jaws clamping onto it's belly before she fell back into the water, showering the air with feathers and the clear water of the small pond. She snarled, shaking her head viciously, ripping at the duck's innards. She swam back to the bank, finding some dry land and devouring the water foul. The sun was sinking lower now, and when she was finished, she pointed her nose to the sky and let out a low howl, bidding the sun a sweet goodbye.

Bruno managed to awake at the sounds of thrashing water. He jumped to an alert position and peered into the distance; seeing Snow was a suprise to Bruno. He turned to see that Kota had taken a spot close to him for a nap. He smiled and his eyes rose to the setting sun. He squinted and smiled then heard Snow bid adue with such a beautiful howl, he therefore joined her in saying farewell until the next morning. He slinked over to the pond to catch a good filling drink before it was time to wander in the night.

Snow jumped when she heard Bruno join in, bristling in surprise. When she realized who was howling, she calmed down, her tounge curling out in a yawn. She watched Bruno walk past her and to the edge, taking his fill of the sweet water. She stood up, shaking her pelt off, and walking forth to the pond, and drank, only a foot away from him. When she was done, she licked the water from her maw, and lifted a paw, running it along the underside of her snout, getting the water droplets from her chin.

A black, furry ball was lying at the base of a tree, just sitting there. A quick glance would cause one to think it was simply a charred spot in the ground. Upon closer inspection, you'd see it was a bulky wolf. The brute unfolded from his nap, a long salmon pink tounge breaking the sea of black as it peaked out of his maw. If you looked closely, you'd see that his snout was a dark grey that faded into black as it creeped up his maw. His eyes were outlined in the same hue, and his tail was tipped with it. He opened his eyes now revealing normal wolven eyes. A deep piercing yellow/gold color. He shook his grayscale coat free of dust, and stood up, looking around. He heard the splashes of water and howls, not too far off. Audits flicked to determine in which direction he'd have to travel to find the pack. Once he'd figured it out, he set off in a trot, tail swishing behind him.
As he broke through the tall grasses, he caught sight of a vix, and then a brute. His tounge lolled out as the smell of the cool water hit his nares, making him realize how thirsty he really was. He crouched down, whimpering, trying to figure out how to approach the two. "Allo." He finally boomed, his voice loud and thick with male-ness. "May I intrude? I'm awful thirsty." He wasn't one to be polite, but he was too weak from travel to fight, so he figured it was something he'd have to do.

Bruno's eyes snapped towards the unfirmiliar voice coiling in the distance. He stood with his tail erect and hears forward. As for stating his dominance he chose to walk slowly toward the newcomer. The hair on the back of his neck looked as if they where needles on a porcupine(sp? xD). "You may drink as long as you respect, which doesn't seem to be any form of issue so far. I'm Bruno." His eyes scanned the bulky male, but Bruno wanted nothing more than to help a thirsty brute. His voice dipped lower, "... are you planning on staying long?" Though he sounded short of temper he wasn't. Taking care of the group is the main goal. "If you are..." he stopped and smirked "you better watch your tail because some of us aren't very welcoming." He chuckled to himself at the thought of Sweeper intruding on his new territory with a growing pack. "You should probably meet the others... you do plan on staying don't you?" He kept reminding himself that the more males there are, the more competition there is for his position.

His eyes roamed from Bruno, who had been very assertive in approaching him, to Snow, who was still lapping up water. His audits flicked as Bruno spoke, and his eyes returned to the brute. "Thanks." He answered, walking to the edge of the pool, taking a couple eager laps, before turning, striding back to where he had stood before. He faced Bruno, eyes scanning over him more carefully. I plan on staying, yes. With your permission. I see I've met the Alpha... I'm Aztec. He gave Bruno a lopsided grin, I got here by accident. My old pack chased me out. Apparently I wasn't a fair Alpha. They stopped when they reached the mountains, but I kept running. I made it here, then heard the howling.

It didn't take long to find herself within the gathering group around the pond. Kota had woken moments previously, following the scents in the air to her current position, her eyes now struck on yet another newcomer of probably many more to come. Even as Bruno spoke, generally- she assumed- aimed towards the conversation of Sweeper, hackles rose as her pads thud dully through the damp ground. She could deffinently be one of those uninviting wolves.
But.. Invite..?
Surely Bruno wouldn't... The pack- if one could call it so- respected Bruno as a rising Alpha, sure, but surely he wasn't so compelled to invite any new wolven with open paws. A snort of sorts echoed from her snout, quickly turning her back on the pair and finding her way towards Snow. If things kept up as they were currently headed, then they would find themselves in another situation uncomfortably close to Sweeper- a reign for dominance, badly matched hunters.. Maybe even spies for the brute? Her maw shock violently at her own thoughts. It would be a clever scheme, but she doubted that a crazied and scarred brute such as Sweeper would devise something as such. He seemed too.. Forward. Too proud to send another to do his own line of work. With this thought as her last comfort, her maw dipped slowly into the water, a pink toungue lashing at it's contents. OoC// Rush post, sowwie.. ;~; I don't have enough time to post, but I didn't wanna be left ouuut. <3

Saidin had stayed behind at the kill while the others went to relax around the pond. He figured this was as nice a place as any to sprawl, though that wasn't exactly his intentions... nope, this large dark-pelted wolf was intently circling their dead, disemboweled and half-eaten doe. On another hunt of sorts, he was looking for something, for just the right place to attack. Prodding a partially stripped leg, he discarded it and nosed around in the belly, most of his attention on the curved rib bones. Finding what he was looking for, he gripped a rib tightly and separated it from the doe with a few sharp jerks and twists. His prize parted with a smart crack! and, wearing a smug expression, Saidin set off at a brisk lope to catch up with the others. It was a little harder to follow the small pack's scent with the distracting smells the bone clenched firmly between his jaws sent up towards his nose. The land was becoming more familiar, however, and soon he found himself coming to a halt beside the water. Tail upraised and waving cheerfully through the air, the meaty rib curving upwards on either side of his mouth an extension of his own smile... oh yes, he was happy and had no qualms about showing it. Sparing a curious glance for the newcomer, he settled down a short distance away. Bruno could handle the black brute if he proved to be a threat. Saidin had spoils that needed gnawing on straightaway.

He glared at the unfamiliar dark male; he understood. He whispered to the newcomer, "Oh, chased out like I was, eh?" A sudden feeling of warning puzzled him. His hackles rose, but his voice made no distinct changes. He spoke steadily with concern, "The last thing I need in this pack is someone who is untrustworthy so I'm giving you a forewarning- don't deliberately hurt anyone in the pack, or you will be banished again." He huffed out air from his maw and shook his head slightly. "Other than that," he chuckled slightly, "you're okay by me." As alpha he did a routine scan of the horizon and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. "Suppose you best be introducing yourself to everyone." He nodded pleasurably and emitted a small crack of a smile.

Snow;; Perceptive eyes quickly took in the new male with uninterested eyes, tail flicking behind her boredly. The femme's eyes turned to Kota, and she smiled, walking over and taking her place beside the quite female. She turned now, again, to watch as Saiden walked up, auds flicking as she watched the new male narrow his eyes at Saiden, tounge lolling out as he watched the brute walk up with the bone. Snow sighed, and stood again, padding over to Bruno. Maybe we should give the new brute directions to the kill? Whatevers left of it should satiate his hunger. Her voice was soft. She wasn't exactly thrilled with letting someone new just wander into the pack in which she'd become so comfortable.
Aztec;; His laugh was short as he listened to Snow's words, audits flicking forth to catch the softly spoken sentences. It's fine. I'm not hungry. I had a rabbit on the way in. This was a lie, but he wasn't about to accept charity. His pride was too great for that. True, Saiden's bone had his mouth watering. But he could find his own food later, when the pack dozed off. He noted the way the pack interacted. Snow's fondness for Kota was extremely apparent, though he couldn't see how Kota cared for any of the others. She'd seemed a little wary when he entered, but he supposed that there was a good reason behind such a reaction. Saiden was content with gnawing on his bone, obviously comfortable. Snow didn't seem to mind Bruno, but she seemed to be closer to the other femme. Aztec focused on Bruno now, waiting to see if he was going to talk or ignore them, and continue surveying the land.

Her maw had rose with the soft trample of Snow's footsteps, a dissatisfied glare set deep in her eyes and every so often a flick of her tail. Even from a single glance, it would be obvious that Bruno's admitance of the brute into their pack was one she hadn't agreed upon. However, having no position to question the Alpha's order, the complain which had lodged itself within her throat remained quiet. Laying her head down with a silent whine as Snow left her company before she had any sort of chance to speak, she let go of a near-silent whine. It seemed to her that her concerns would only be shared with herself. Neither Snow or Saidin seemed affected by his sudden appearance... With a ripple of muscles, she rose to her feet with a snort. Then, with self-concerned jealousy, she positioned herself away from the group. Her actions of course were immature, however surely her age would more than make up for it... Maybe.

Blinking innocently, as if to not notice the packs sudden shifty-eyed momentum towards the new male he continued, "Forgot your name already kid... Excuse me."
Bruno wasn't expecting an answer since he himself was rude enough not to remember the newcomers name; he listened to Snow and stared at her with caring eyes. "Well, you heard him, I guess he isn't hungry. Why don't we do something with this carcass? He nudged her with his maw. You take it to your den. I'm sure you will become hungry and there will be a time when the kills are scarce." The thought of the rotting meat made his stomach churn. He shook his head as if to say 'nevermind'. His eyes grew warmer toward Snow, then as he looked to Kota his eyes transformed from warmth to a 'this is all business' look. For some reason, the alpha couldn't understand why Kota has such tension with him. Being alpha meant situating problems so the pack could thrive.
"Kota, may I speak with you.. alone?"
He looked toward Saidin and gave him a reassured look. "It's a purely business talk Saidin."

With sudden surprise, her ears had pricked forward at the mentioning of her name. Her maw swerved to survey the brute- no, alpha. Her head almost shook, getting fustrated with herself for having to remind herself of Bruno's position within the pack. And of her own. As soon as her thoughts returned to its previous curiousity, her muzzle dipped. Ears fell to the back of her skull, and with hesitation she crept forward from her sulking position. Targeted already, and this time she hadn't even said anything. Her stomach churned at the thought of being pushed out of yet another pack, a wild- yet small- fear creeping over her, causing muscles to ripple which was hidden under her thick pelt. Her pace quickened, wanting to get this little 'talk' out of the way as soon as possible. Tucking her tail between her hind legs as she neared Bruno, she played with the thought of saying nothing. Instead, considering her assumptions of his talk was punishment, she showed respect of his request in her own way. "What is it you wish to speak to me about alone?" Her choice of words, she thought, were quite adult and mature, and she felt a sense of growning up. At least in her own mind.

Instead of being rude, he spoke calmy and with slight concern, "Kota, why do you act so... what's the word... why do you have such angst towards me?" He didn't speak as if he needed to be approved by the female, but his movement gave word that he was quite frustrated with the slight tension between themselves.
"Is it something I did, or said?" He was obviously puzzled.
"I just don't get it." In disbelief he shook his head. As a butterfly hopped from rock to rock in the distant dirt patch, Brunos mind wandered, & he sat suddenly while letting out a sigh. "I don't want these problems withn the pack. We have much better things to worry about..." He nudged her shoulder, "I want us to take whatever tension we have towards each other and focus it on the pack. These wolves need us just as much as we need them."

The large wolf had inclined his head in acknowledgment of Bruno's reassurance. While he didn't feel the alpha owed him any such placation to talk with Kota– or for any reason, really– he was gratified that the other, apparently, did. For a few moments his black tail swept rhythmically across the ground at the thought that he meant enough to their little pack... perhaps even respected, to some degree... for Bruno to want to soothe potentially ruffled hackles over a little discourse. Giving his bone one last lick, Saidin rested his head on one foreleg, tail stilling. Although his dark eyes were focused on the two wolves a short distance away, watching Kota's hesitant body language for signs of distress, his ears lay low, relaxed, careful to not make any attempt at eavesdropping on the pair. A small portion of his attention was attuned to the newcomer, Aztec. So he was a former alpha? That could prove interesting. Saidin wondered if Aztec knew anything they could use to defend themselves against Sweeper– maybe drive the crazy albino away while they were at it. Ears briefly flattening further against his skull, Saidin firmly set aside all thoughts of the white brute. Time enough to worry about him later. Right now he had a pack of trusted companions about him, a full belly, and a worried friend who deserved some silent support.
