As Bruno left the pack and headed eastward, he ran into a rather perfect den. He let out a smooth, slow howl to acknowledge his success, and to let the others know where he was. Proceeding with caution, he lifted his leg and began to mark his territory.
"This is perfect. We are near food, near the Meadow, and away from everyone. This is nice."
He cracked a grin as he, once again, trotted by the mouth of the cave to gather things for him to rest on at night.
Looking back at Kwa. "Hey man, are you hungry?" He gathered lots of debris so his new friend Kwa could have a comfortable place to sleep as well. He would hate if he where to be the only one sleeping on the rigid, cold, stone ground.''
Bruno was excited that he had a friend, and a place to live. It meant protection and safety to him. He had a very good feeling about him and Kwa- about becoming the best of friends. He streched, letting out an accomplished yawn, "Well, I'm starving." He hadn't eaten in a while and his stomach growled loudly.

After following Bruno for a ways, he was pleased to see that all the wandering hadn't been pointless. It was a very nice den, and actually reminded him a little bit of his old home. But that was a very long time ago. All the things that Bruno had praised this cave for were very good reasons, and Kwa was forced to agree with him.
"It is really nice. We're quite lucky to have found such a place, and it didn't take that long. Thank you, by the way, for letting me tag along." Walking near Bruno, he began gathering extra bedding, because it was almost inevitable that eventually the ones they were making now would wear thin.
"Oh, no, I'm not really hungry... I'm hungry too often. Maybe I'll go out and catch something later if I'm in the mood."
Bruno seemed very nice. Friendly, caring, he would probably make a good companion. Kwabangul was lucky to have found someone like him. He would probably be a good guardian, and between the two of them, they could probably at least fend off the being that was Sweeper...
"Tell me, if you don't mind," he began, after spitting out a mouthful of leaves and grass, "what happened with that Sweeper person? I wasn't really paying attention... You don't have to say everything, just kinda outline... I'd really like to know who my enemies are."

His closeness to Kwa began to grow as he listened to his thankfulness, "It's quite alright. I need someone to keep me company. I'm quite thrilled someone is here with me actually," as he heard the part about Sweeper he dipped his maw in guilt, "Well, in my view technically, he intruded to our new packlands- said something about us being color pelted that was kind of rude- then decided that he wanted to threaten us, and I couldn't have it." He intentionally skipped the part about him attacking Sweeper, he didn't want to sound vicious or uncollected.
Bruno felt a brotherly love with Kwa, like he had to protect him. "I hope I find someone to be with-- you know." He felt awkward mentioning it to him. He sighed then tried to change the subject, "We need a bigger pack." He spoke boldly.

He decided not to lollygag around, so he slowly slinked his body out of the cave opening to get something to eat. As soon as he stepped out of his new cave, what seemed like millions of smells jumped into his nose. He heard new voices that where frolicking in the distance. More? He thought. His feelings of overpopluation where not too keen, but it meant more chances for a mate. Though his body was tired, he knew it was time to catch a small kill just to fill himself for the mean time.
He lifted his maw straight to the sky to see if he could determine any of the wolven that had arrived. Although Kwa seemed content, his attempt to keep the adventureness was still strained. He had problems leaving other wolven behind so he shouted to Kwa, "Hey man, I'm gonna get something... to eat... yeah, something to eat." He was quite distracted that more wolven had entered the territory. He must defend what is his and show his dominance if he was going to try to be a top ruler around here.

"Oh, yeah. That's fine. I'll stay here. Guard against anything while you're gone." Kwa had too sensed the alien wolves enter the territory, and knew this was likely his main reason. Bruno wanted to be alpha, that much was obvious, at least, it was to him. There was no reason that he himself should not want to be alpha, except for the fact that... He didn't. His father had been an alpha, and he had gotten too much of the popularity that comes with it, always bombarded by other wolves trying to get on his good side. It had caused him so much irritation, he had run away for a week, in rain... He stopped his thoughts. They were going into a part of his history that he wanted to forget. He sighed, got up, and went to the mouth of the cave, watching Bruno retreat.
(Mibs... Sorry about the horribleness. Ew...)

Before long, Bruno returned with nothing too interesting to inform Kwa about. "Woo, that was fun, " his sarcastic tone continued, "It's like I can't do anything right." The tone faded and a seriousness was implied. "Maybe I should just stop helping everyone and do things for myself." He sat next to Kwa and gazed out of the mouth of the cave. Bruno was happy it was just them together, more wolven is more to watch over, meaning more responsibility... but wasn't that what Bruno wanted? He wasn't sure about the alpha part- he just wanted to be a part of the pack that would eventually form. He sighed quietly with his ears pointing forward intently and slid into a much more comfortable laying position.

Kwa could sense that Bruno was upset. "Why? What happened? Where did you go, anyway?" Bruno lay down and looked in the general direction of the mouth of the cave (sorry if that's not where you were looking, I just needed a reference point), with his ears pointed forward. Kwa thought he might know what part of the problem. The small power struggle was probably at the heart of the problems. He got the feeling that Bruno really wanted to lead the pack, and, in Kwa's mind, Bruno was a very worthy candidate for such a position. He was level-headed, caring, and someone that seemed like they would be able to take charge and not show fear. But Kwa could be wrong. He hadn't been a very social pup growing up, and wasn't always very good at reading faces.
(Mib... sorry it's so short...)

"I just went to check out the new wolven and show them to the others so they didn't get attacked, but gah man." He shook his head in disappointment, "Kota was quite rude." He snuffed the dirt from the ground as he lifted his head to Kwa, "It's just a bunch of crap, don't worry." Bruno was glad he had someone like Kwa to talk to. If he did lead a pack, Kwa was gaurenteed to have supreme powers than the rest. A smirk crept across his lips as he thought of himself as a leader, then quickly a frown smacked over the smirk when he thought of the responsibilities. "Did you just stay here when I left? Was there any trouble?" He was eager to know if the den that they had chosen to reside in was relatively safe, and had very little disturbances, he waited for no reply as he spoke again, "Hopefully the other wolven won't be so rude.." He blinked innocently.

"Rude wolves are so irritating. Really. But, nope, nothing really happened while you were gone, a few birds flew around the area, but nothing really. This cave seems pretty safe." Kwa noticed Bruno's facial features, the smirk to a frown, and stored them in the back of his mind. Pretending that he hadn't noticed, he sat down, and spoke to Bruno again. "So, what were your first impressions of these new wolven? I'd like to meet them. Was it just them and Kota?" If there were new wolves around, he wanted to make sure he could keep them in check. It would be just like new wolves to disturb this place.
(Ewwww... So short.)

"Ehh," he shrugged at the question about the new wolven. "They're alive, that's what counts I suppose." The tone of his voice revealed a sort of bothered mood. He twiched his ears vigerously then stood to shake his coat out. A slight snuff escaped his nose, soon after a shake of the head followed. The skin he had yet to grow in moved swiftly upon his bones. He still had a little bit left to fill out, not in a sense of growing taller. He blinked curiously at Kota's previous remark. His mood swang once more as he spoke, "I hope the moon is full tonight." He pictured the moon in the brightly filled sky as he peered out the den. He felt restless, like there was work to be done, but he couldn't help but feel lazy at the same time due to his unfirmiliarity with the new lands that he, and Kwa stumbled onto. A brisk wind passed sending a faint reminder smell of Sweeper. Bruno sent his tongue to clean his nose of the rancid smell. He turned to face Kwa, waiting for a reply, as though he was desperate to listen.
